Chester
County parks and recreational areas preserve the natural and
cultural history of the County. They provide year-round facilities
for residents and visitors that spans over 5000 acres. Parks
located in Chester County include Hibernia County Park, Nottingham
County Park, Warwick County Park, Springton Manor Farm and Black
Rock Sanctuary. The Delaware Valley area has rolling countryside,
farms, woods, and wetlands. Many acres of land have been preserved
throughout the Delaware Valley.
French
Creek State Park (610) 582-9680
French Creek State Park straddles northern Chester County and
southern Berks County along French Creek. The park is the home
of two lakes: Hopewell Lake, a warm water lake, and Scotts Run
Lake, a cold water lake.
Marsh
Creek State Park
Marsh Creek State Park The park is the location of the man made
Marsh Creek Lake. The lake is a stop for migrating waterfowl.
Marsh Creek State Park is two miles west of Eagle on Pennsylvania
Route 100.
White
Clay Creek
White Clay Creek Preserve is located in the valley of White
Clay Creek and was donated by the DuPont Company in 1984 for
the purpose of "preserving the diverse and unique plant
and animal species, and the rich cultural heritage of the area".
